I would like a *specific* example of someone saying "I don't agree with your analysis of why X is racist" and the immediate response being "that's because you're a racist"? Like "Jane Doe said 'actually I think Wrede's premise was fine' and was called a racist in comments to John Doe's lj post" Because I've seen people allege this happens, but I actually have not seen anyone say "You disagree with me, you're a racist."(1) In fact I see a lot of people very specifically saying "I am not saying you are a racist. I am saying what you wrote has racist imagery/is racially problematic/etc." I understand people fear being called a racist. However, I see that used as an excuse to avoid dealing with the possibility that they may have done something that was problematic about race.

First, there is no unified POC in fandom position on racism. There really isn't. We are a diverse wild unicorn herd, and it's unlikely you can get us all to agree on anything other than racism exists and it is awful.
